SHREK the Musical !  Another great idea for the kids..... 

The Northwest Florida State College Summer Dramatic Workshop is presenting a mini-musical called Shrek, Jr at the Sprint Theater of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center.  Performances by children across the Emerald Coast.  For a list of actors and actresses check out the Mattie Kelly website.

The summer term Musical Theatre Workshop program located at NWF State College annually produces a mini summer musical as the culmination of an intensive workshop for studies in the 8th grade through college.  This is a popular workshop and training is provided by the college faculty.  Departments involved are the acting, voice, makeup, dance and staging.  It is the 19th year the program has allowed youth the opportunity to train and perform at the state of the art facility of the colleges' performing arts complex.

The summer workshop is taught by a voice professor, Allison Everitt, a dance professor Uli Dunbar and a drama instructor from Fort Walton Beach High School, Christa Whittaker.

The performance is held at the Sprint Theater of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center there will be three performances on Wednesday, June 29 at 1:00 pm and on Thursday, June 30 at 10:30 am and 1:00 pm.

The performance is $5 each admission (adult or youth). Tickets are available in advance from the Mattie Kelly Arts Center Box Office STARTING JUNE 13, 2016.

Seating is limited as the Sprint Theater is the smaller of the center's 2 theater spaces and advance purchase is strongly encouraged.
